Hij is lekker, maar vrij zwaar. En jammer genoeg zijn de rozijnen en de geconfijte vruchtjes wat veel naar de bodem gezakt. Er zitten er dan ook heel veel in. Samen maar liefst 450 gram!

Hi Myriam,Very nice fruit cake, well done! It's amazing you did this even though your hand has just undergone surgery. One tip for you, in order not for the raisins to sink, you can try taking out the raisins from the batter, sift part of the flour on the raisins and making sure they are well covered with flour, then put the raisins back into the batter and mix the rest of the flour with the batter.

Thank you, Miss B!I usually do as you say with the raisins but since in this recipe they had to boil for 5 minutes in the water/sugar/butter/spices mixture, this was a bit difficult. I could have done it with the dried fruits which is what I will do next time.

Onze cake is al op. Vanavond doen we niks zelf. Alles bij de traiteur/bakker gehaald.
